Pianist Dr. Jinha Park has built an international performing and teaching career spanning more than three decades. She made her public debut at age fourteen with the Sunhwa Arts Orchestra in Seoul and has since appeared as a soloist with orchestras including the Vienna CMS Chamber Orchestra, National Orchestra of the Dominican Republic, Festival Philharmonic Orchestra (Korea), Oltenia Symphony Orchestra (Romania), Alicante Symphony Orchestra (Spain), Virtuoso Brunesis Orchestra (Italy), and the Romanian Timisoara Orchestra.
Her recital and concerto performances have taken her to major venues worldwide, including Carnegie Weill Recital Hall, the Kennedy Center, Seoul Arts Center, and the Tchaikovsky Conservatory Small Hall in Moscow, with concert engagements throughout Europe, Asia, Central America, and the United States.
A prizewinner of the Vienna Allegro Vivo International Chamber Music Competition, Burgos International Music Competition, Baltimore Music Competition, and Texas Music Teachers Association Competition, Dr. Park has also been a featured artist and faculty member at major international festivals, including Music Fest Perugia in Italy, Summit Music Festival, Montecito International Music Festival, Triumph International Music Festival, Washington International Piano Festival, Portland Classical Festival, Ouachita International Keyboard Music Festival, and Costa Rica International Piano Festival.
Dr. Park is an internationally sought-after adjudicator and has served on juries for competitions in Russia, Vietnam, Korea, and the United States, including the ICA International Piano Competition (Hanoi), International Youth Competition “A Step Towards Mastery” (St. Petersburg), Virginia Queen Piano Competition, Northern Virginia Music Teachers’ Association Concerto Competition, Sunhwa Piano Competition (Seoul), OMTA Classical Music Competition, and the Kirov International Music Competition (Washington, DC).
Her academic appointments include faculty positions at Augusta State University, the University of Maryland Global Campus, Sookmyung Women’s University, Chungnam National University, Baekseok Conservatory, and Sunhwa Arts High School in Seoul. In addition to her teaching career, she has held significant leadership roles in arts administration, including Associate Director of the Colorado International Piano Academy & Festival, U.S. Associate Director of the Amigdala International Music Competition (Italy), Artistic Director of the DC Strings Concerto Festival, Director of the After-School Music Program at the Kirov Academy of Washington, DC, and Director of Music Fest Perugia in Seoul.
Dr. Park holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of South Carolina, a Graduate Performance Diploma from the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Music from Seoul National University, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland Global Campus, and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
She currently serves as Adjunct Professor at Frederick Community College in Maryland and as Department Manager and Piano Faculty at Levine Music in Washington, DC. She is also on the faculty of Summit Music Festival, Music Fest Perugia in Italy, and the Colorado International Piano Academy & Festival.
Dr. Park is a recipient of the Steinway & Sons Top Piano Teacher Award in 2022 and 2024.
