Auditor's Pass

The CIPAF Auditor’s Pass offers guests an immersive, behind-the-scenes view of the festival, providing full access to concerts, masterclasses, competition rounds, and a variety of open educational sessions led by distinguished faculty representing some of the world’s most esteemed musical institutions. Ideal for teachers, families, and music enthusiasts, the Auditor’s Pass allows attendees to experience the artistry, process, and energy of CIPAF without the commitments of full participation.

​What the Auditor's Pass Includes:

  • Admission to all CIPAF concerts, recitals, and public performances

  • Entry to all competition rounds throughout July 29–30

  • Access to open masterclasses led by internationally recognized performers and pedagogues

  • Ability to observe private lessons with faculty from leading conservatories and universities

  • Seating for artist presentations, talks, and festival lectures

  • Access to open concerto rehearsals with soloists and conductors

  • Observation of Concerto Intensive sessions, offering insight into professional concerto preparation

Explore CIPAF as an Engaged Listener

​Auditors gain rare insight into the artistic process—hearing how faculty refine interpretation, technique, sound, and musical shaping in real time. You are welcome to move between events, explore the campus, and engage with the festival’s musical life at your own pace.

The Auditor's Pass in designed for:

  • Teachers seeking enrichment and teaching inspiration

  • Parents and families of participants

  • Piano students who wish to observe before applying in a future year

  • Community members interested in world-class piano performance

  • Music lovers who enjoy concerts and artistic discovery

Housing and meals are not included, allowing auditors flexibility to choose their own lodging and dining options while attending festival events.

The University of Northern Colorado provides an ideal environment for the Festival Residency. Its beautiful campus is home to a distinguished all-Steinway School of Music—one of only two doctoral-granting music institutions in Colorado—and the state-of-the-art Campus Commons Performance Hall.

Auditor's Pass Options

All fees due by June 1, 2026

Full Festival Auditor's Pass / $400 USD

Ten-day admission to all concerts, masterclasses, competition rounds, lesson observations, concerto workshops, and public events.

Day Pass / $50 USD

Single-day access to all festival events occurring on that date.
