The Piano Concerto Workshop offers participants an enriching opportunity to immerse themselves in concerto study while experiencing the thrill of performing with orchestra. Participants engage in an in-depth concerto seminar, culminating in a semi-formal rehearsal and performance with the CIPAF Orchestra on stage.
Open exclusively to participants enrolled in the CIPAF Festival Residency, the Concerto Workshop allows students in Competition Divisions A, B, C, or D to explore solo and chamber repertoire alongside their concerto preparation. This integrated structure provides Residency participants the unique advantage of combining lessons, masterclasses, and competition performance with the collaborative artistry of working with orchestra.
Participants in the International Competition Concerto Division (Division E) are not eligible to attend the workshop. Due to limited capacity, admission is based on a prescreening review, and final acceptance will be announced following evaluation.
Program highlights include focused concerto study with personalized coaching, rehearsal and collaboration with the CIPAF Orchestra, and a special invitation-only performance in a public concert by select outstanding participants as part of the CIPAF Concert Series.
