Joey Gao is a Singaporean horn player and music entrepreneur. She graduated from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Music (Horn Performance), studying under Han Chang Chou, Jamie Hersch, and Huang Van Hoc. She later completed her Master’s degree in Music Business at Berklee College of Music (Online), achieving the Dean’s List with full distinction. Joey began her orchestral journey at the age of 13 with the Singapore National Youth Orchestra and has since performed with leading ensembles such as the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, Orchestra of the Music Makers, and the Singapore Lyric Opera. In 2016, she was featured as a soloist in OMM’s Solisti concert. Beyond the stage, Joey is the co-founder of Yue Entertainment, a creative partnership that curates artistic projects, produces multimedia content, and manages music events. She is also actively involved with Band Academy Singapore, where she supports the development of young wind musicians and contributes to building Singapore’s vibrant music education landscape.
