
Prof. Xiying Huang

Director of International Division
From 2014 to 2017, Xiying Huang served as Executive Director of the China Division and jury member for the U.S. finals of the Odyssey of the Mind International Piano Competition (USA). From 2018 to 2023, she was Executive Director for the China Division of the IAC International Music Festival, and since 2023, she has served as Director of the Weide Yin Hai Music Festival.

Huang has been invited to perform and lecture at major international venues including Carnegie Hall (New York), Musikverein Golden Hall (Vienna), Oxford Town Hall, St. David’s Hall (Cardiff), University of Leeds, University of Hull, Paris City Halls of the 3rd, 11th, and 13th districts, Aubervilliers City Hall, Bussy-Saint-Georges City Hall, Versailles National Conservatory, Châlons-en-Champagne National Conservatory, Xinghai Concert Hall, and the Guangzhou Opera House, among others. Her performances include solo recitals, chamber music, concerto appearances, and academic lectures.

Huang has received numerous honors, including First Prize in the “For Tomorrow” Young Faculty Teaching Competition at South China Normal University (2008) and the Outstanding Individual Award (2020). She has published dozens of scholarly articles and authored the monograph Research and Promotion of Aesthetic Education in Piano Teaching.

Over more than two decades of teaching, Huang has guided numerous undergraduates who have gone on to pursue graduate and doctoral studies in piano performance at prestigious institutions such as the Royal College of Music, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Royal Northern College of Music, Cardiff University, University of London, University of Leeds, University of York, University of Southampton, University of Liverpool, Manhattan School of Music, Berklee College of Music, University of Northern Colorado, and University of Texas.
