Litang Feng is an emerging pianist whose work reflects a refined musical imagination shaped by both international study and a deep commitment to artistic growth. She is currently pursuing the Doctor of Arts degree in Piano Performance at the University of Northern Colorado, with a secondary emphasis in Collaborative Piano under the mentorship of Dr. Lei Weng and Dr. Jenna Braaksma. She holds a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from Oakland University and a Bachelor of Music degree from the Wuhan Conservatory of Music.

Feng’s artistry has been enriched through masterclass performances for a distinguished roster of artist-teachers, including Enrica Ciccarelli, Artistic Director of the Concerto Foundation of Milan; Robert Shannon, Dean of the Piano Department at Oberlin College and Conservatory; Barry Snyder of the Eastman School of Music; Bruce Brubaker, Chair of Piano at the New England Conservatory; Daniela Mineva, Dean of Piano at Humboldt State University; and Tian Tian, Dean of Piano at Oakland University. Her principal teachers include Tian Tian, Rebecca Happel, and I-Chen Yeh at Oakland University; Lianpin Zhu and Zhi Qiao at the Wuhan Conservatory of Music; and Ren Cai at Guangxi Normal University, in addition to her current studies with Lei Weng and Jenna Braaksma.

Feng has appeared in recital series, chamber concerts, festival performances, and as a concerto soloist across the United States, China, and Italy, with past engagements at the Perugia Music Festival, the North Coast Piano Festival, and the Villa Medici Italian Piano Festival, among others.

Her work as an educator is equally grounded, with teaching experience ranging from early study through pre-conservatory preparation, shaped by nearly a decade of applied and group instruction.

Guided by a belief in music as a collaborative and transformative art form, Feng continues to cultivate a career that bridges performance, teaching, and artistic inquiry.
